Vaccination review, preventive check-ups and age-appropriate health guidance for children.

When this service may be useful
Children do not always describe symptoms in the same way adults do. A pediatric consultation brings together the child’s age, growth pattern, recent illnesses, family concerns, examination findings and day-to-day function. This helps create a clearer picture before deciding whether reassurance, monitoring, testing, treatment or referral is appropriate.

- catch-up vaccination questions
- preventive check-ups
- school or travel health questions
What the consultation focuses on
The goal is to review the child’s vaccination record, medical history, previous vaccine reactions, current health and age-specific preventive needs.
Parents are encouraged to bring previous prescriptions, vaccination records, growth charts, laboratory reports or hospital summaries when available. For younger children, details about feeding, sleep, urine and stool patterns, school or daycare attendance and recent exposure to illness can be especially helpful.
Assessment and next steps
The visit usually begins with a careful history and age-appropriate examination. Depending on the concern, Dr. Neha Joshi may review growth, hydration, breathing, ears, throat, chest, abdomen, skin, neurological signs or developmental milestones. Not every child needs tests. When investigations are useful, the reasons, expected benefit and follow-up plan can be explained clearly before proceeding.
Supporting care at home
Keep the vaccination card updated, monitor the child after vaccination as advised, and follow the recommended schedule or catch-up plan.
Families also receive guidance on what to watch for, when improvement would normally be expected, and which warning signs should prompt earlier medical review. The aim is to leave parents with a practical plan rather than just a diagnosis label.
Follow-up and continuity
Children’s health changes quickly as they grow. Follow-up may be useful when symptoms persist, treatment needs adjustment, growth or development requires monitoring, or a specialist referral has been arranged. Continuity also helps connect new symptoms with earlier illnesses, vaccination history, nutrition and developmental progress.
