A little preparation can make a pediatric visit more useful and less stressful. Write down the main concern, when it started, what has changed, and any questions you want to remember.
What to bring
- Previous prescriptions or reports that may be relevant
- Your child’s vaccination record
- A list of medicines and known allergies
- Notes about symptoms, sleep, appetite or routines when relevant
During the visit
Share the most important concern first and ask for clarification whenever something is unclear. Before leaving, make sure you understand the plan, what to monitor, and when follow-up is recommended.
